[share] The Hacking-Lab LiveCD Beta!

Assalamu'alaikum.

A live CD, live DVD, or live disc is a CD or DVD containing a bootable computer operating system. Live CDs are unique in that they have the ability to run a complete, modern operating system on a computer lacking mutable secondary storage, such as a hard disk drive. Live USB flash drives are similar to live CDs, but often have the added functionality of automatically and transparently writing changes back to their bootable medium.

This LiveCD is based on Ubuntu with a KDE desktop.
Tools and update include:
- Installation Forensic Tools
- Installation Metasploit – /opt/applic/metasploit/
- Installation Reverse Proxy /opt/applic/httpd-2.2.15
- Installation Source Code Analysis Tools
- Installation Fuzzer Tools
- Solved Problem: Paros Proxy not working:

cd /opt/applic/openvpn/etc/
openssl x509 -in client.crt -text

How to use it?
Boot the live-cd and launch Firefox. The start page of Firefox is set to the LiveCD wiki. You can read more how to setup the OpenVPN connection there and how to get connected to the server-based Hacking-Lab infrastructure.
We have discussed about lab tools in our previous posts like Security Dojo, OWASP LiveCD and others. This is in addition to those. We think that if you are looking at this distro from a forensic point of view, this might be your first choice. It is in beta phase and we are hoping more features and tools in alpha version.
